Dutton Close Update

Representatives from Shropshire Council and Stoke Upon Tern Parish Council met online on Wednesday 5th August to discuss the status of the new-build houses on Dutton Close. The purpose of the meeting was to explore ways in which we can work together to help ensure the houses come to market to meet local housing need, following the assurances given by the Home Office and Serco, that the properties will no longer be considered for housing asylum seekers. It was a constructive and positive meeting, where the priority of making the properties available to, and accessible by the local community was agreed along with a number of actions, the progress of which will be reported on in due course.
